It also explains the choices and rights available to you. It applies to brightcore.com, our customer service and sales phone lines, our text and email programs, and any other place that links to this policy (together, our "Services").

This policy does not cover information about our employees or job applicants, or third-party websites we link to. Our Services are intended for adults.

Information collected automatically

When you use our website or open our emails, we and our partners collect device and browsing data: IP address, browser and device type, approximate location derived from IP address, pages viewed, links clicked, referring website, time on page, and whether you opened an email. We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to do this, as described in the Cookies section below.

Information from other sources

We may receive information from advertising and analytics partners, address-verification and fraud-prevention services, and social media platforms when you interact with our pages.

How we use personal information

• To run our business with you: Process orders, ship products, handle returns and refunds, manage your account, and answer questions.

• To market to you: Send emails and offers, and contact you by phone or individual text message, consistent with your preferences and applicable law.

• To advertise: Show you Brightcore ads on other websites and social platforms and measure how those ads perform.

• To improve our Services: Analyze site traffic, test new features, and understand which products and content customers use.

• For security and compliance: Prevent fraud, maintain do-not-call and opt-out lists, keep records of consent, honor privacy requests, and meet legal obligations.

• To protect rights: Enforce our terms and defend legal claims.

We may create de-identified or aggregated data that no longer identifies you. We keep it in de-identified form and do not try to re-identify it.

We may use personal data, including de-identified data, to develop and improve our Services, which may include training artificial intelligence tools such as large language models. We do not sell personal data to train large language models.

How we disclose personal information

We disclose personal information to the following recipients:

• Service providers that help us operate our business, such as e-commerce, payment, fulfillment, email and text messaging, customer relationship management, telephone, customer support, and analytics providers.

• Advertising partners, such as social media platforms and ad networks, that receive device identifiers, browsing activity, and hashed contact information to show and measure Brightcore ads. Some of these partners also use the data for their own purposes.

• Professional advisors, such as lawyers, accountants, and insurers.

• Government authorities and others when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

• Buyers or successors in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

Under some state laws, disclosures to advertising partners count as a "sale" of personal information or "sharing" for targeted advertising. You can opt out at any time by turning off Targeting cookies through the Cookie Preferences link at the bottom of every page, or by contacting us. We do not sell personal information of anyone we know is under 16.

We do not sell or share mobile phone numbers or text message data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Phone calls, text messages, and email

Phone calls. Brightcore representatives may call customers and people who have asked us about our products. We maintain an internal do-not-call list and a written do-not-call policy, available on request. To stop sales calls, tell the representative during any call, reply to any of our texts asking us to stop calling, email privacy@mybrightcore.com, or call 1-888-227-9338. We will add your number to our internal do-not-call list promptly, as required by law.

Call recording. Calls with Brightcore may be recorded and reviewed for quality, training, and compliance. We will tell you at the start of a call if it is being recorded.

Text messages. Our representatives may send you individual text messages. Message and data rates may apply. To stop texts, reply STOP or send any message that reasonably tells us you no longer want texts, such as "unsubscribe" or "don't text me." You can also opt out by email or phone.

Email. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. We will still send you transactional messages about orders and your account.

Cookies and tracking technologies

Our website uses cookies, pixels, tags, and similar tools, some placed by third parties. They fall into these categories:

• Essential: Keep the cart, checkout, login, and security working.

• Analytics: Help us understand how visitors use our website.

• Advertising: Let advertising partners show you Brightcore ads elsewhere and measure results.

• Site features: Support features such as live chat, and help us improve the website.

Your choices. You can manage non-essential cookies through our cookie banner, which you can reopen at any time with the Cookie Preferences link at the bottom of every page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser, and for your account if you are logged in. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some site features may stop working. Industry opt-out tools are available from the Network Advertising Initiative and the Digital Advertising Alliance.

Opting out of interest-based ads does not stop all ads; the ads you see may simply be less relevant.

Do Not Track. Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals. Because there is no common standard for these signals, we do not respond to them, but we honor Global Privacy Control as described above.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Know and access the personal information we hold about you and get a portable copy.

• Correct inaccurate personal information.

• Delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions.

• Opt out of the sale of personal information, sharing for targeted advertising, and profiling that produces significant effects.

• Limit or consent to our use of sensitive personal information, where applicable. We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information as defined by state law.

• Get a list of the specific third parties we have disclosed your data to, where your state provides this right.

• Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

How to submit a request. Email privacy@mybrightcore.com, call 1-888-227-9338, or write to Brightcore, PO Box 647, Saint Petersburg, FL 33731. To opt out of sale and sharing, turn off Targeting cookies through the Cookie Preferences link, use a GPC signal, or contact us; no account or verification is needed.

Verification. For access, correction, and deletion requests, we will ask for information to confirm your identity. We use it only to verify the request.

Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent. We may ask the agent for signed permission from you and may ask you to verify your identity directly.

Response times. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

Appeals. If we deny your request, you may appeal by emailing privacy@mybrightcore.com with the subject line "Privacy Appeal". We will respond in writing within the time your state law allows. If you disagree with the result, you may contact your state attorney general.

Notice of financial incentive

We offer discounts, free shipping, and exclusive offers to people who join our email list. This offer may be a "financial incentive" under California law.

• What we collect: Your email address, any other details you choose to provide, and purchase history.

• How to join: Sign up through the form or checkout box that describes the offer. Joining is voluntary.

• How to leave: Unsubscribe from email or contact us.

• How we value your data: We estimate the value of your information as reasonably related to the offer, based on the cost of the discount and the expected revenue from the program.

Opting out of sale or sharing does not affect your eligibility for these offers. Deleting your data may end your participation in a program that depends on it.
